Nebraska Talent and Innovation InitiativeAgilx, a Lincoln, Nebraska-based software development company recently announced they have been awarded a prototyping grant from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development through Governor Dave Heineman’ s  Talent & Innovation Initiative (TI2). Recipients are awarded grant funds based on the potential of their product to create hi-tech and high-paying jobs that will bring significant economic benefit to the state.

A new product Agilx is working on will change the way general contractors in the construction industry communicate with their vast subcontractor network.  “After discussing our new software with several industry experts, we received immediate positive feedback on the huge impact that the product could have on the construction industry.” said Dustin Clonch, co-founder and software developer at Agilx. “Programs like this make operating a software development company in Nebraska worth it!” said Jake McElroy co-founder of Agilx. “This grant allows us to hire additional developers and really accelerate our plans for the project”. Agilx recently held the 2012 Nebraska Software Builders Challenge in March and later hired the two contest winners to assist in the development of the software.
